My First Post

Hiya family and friends!
I figured that this would be a good way to keep everyone up-to-date on the 'happenings' here in good ol' OK. Since I am not able to call regularly, nor do I even have the time that I used to -- this is a good way. I can share pictures as well. SO THIS WILL BE GREAT!

This is the news of the week. I only wish I had pictures, cause' the look on her face was great! Yes....you know this is about Jasmine. Now, we all know that Jazzy is always, ALWAYS hungry. So, she wakes up in the middle of the night (early Tuesday morning) and is in the kitchen. I'm sleep on the couch; I was studying and fell asleep with a book in my hand. NEway, I hear this noise and I wake up (cause' naturally, normal folk' is sleep) but, I ask her "Jazzy what are you doing in the kitchen?" and all I get is "Iiiiiiiiiiim, uuuuuuhhhhhhh......so, I think she is in the pot that is on the stove since I fell asleep before cleaning the kitchen and I instantly tell her to get out of that pot, go wash her hands and go to bed. At this point, she probably is thinking she has got away with something and she says "okay mommy" like she was really happy or something. Now I'm thinking.....okay, what was she really doing in that kitchen.

On her way out of the bathroom she stops back to the counter to finish what she started (she thought I was sleep). Now, I caught her!! What was she doing you ask?????? She went into the refrigerator, took out a pack of hot-dogs and was trying to open up the pack with a knife; and her response was....."I was hungry mommy" LOL

You know how you have those days where you want to be mad, but all you can do is laugh? That was definately me at 2:00 A.M.

Dominique is doing well. He is playing basketball for the church league and is involved with a group at church called the "Gap Group". They get together once every other week, where they discuss what is going on in their daily lives and discuss bible lessons and relate them to everyday life. He really seems to enjoy it and I'm glad that he has made some good friends here.

Of course, those two do argue a lot, but that's only because their personalities are SO different. Dominique is quiet while Jazzy likes to verbalize everything.

Me, well, I'm doing okay -- miss my husband (hope my family at Sunset is taking good care of him - smile) and my classes are okay. Still struggling with Calculus, but I'm sure that will pass. So far in my Chemistry class we are working on a couple of group projects 1) One of the groups I am in is making paper by using a base ingredient of banana peels and 2) The other group is putting together a 15-minute power point of how chemistry and thunderstorms are related.

I also have Old Testament and I truly like that class. It is so much fun! The teacher is awesome too. He reminds me a lot of Bro. Howard because he knows the OT inside-and-out. So, learning all about the Old Testament growing up is really paying off in that class (smile) We have a lot of information to learn but it's great!

Well, that is my post for today. I will try to post something at least once a week.

Talk to you soon!
